Where is our data hosted?
Your records are hosted in the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, under POPIA's cross-border safeguards. South African hosting is available on request for schools that need it.
What happens if we stop paying?
Nothing is deleted, and your records stay readable to your staff. You can print a parent evening page or a pupil summary for any pupil, one at a time.
Can teachers see medical records?
No. A class teacher cannot open a sensitive record. They are readable only by school admins and academic support, the roles are fixed rather than chosen, and the records are encrypted separately and structurally excluded from shares, prints, reports and exports.
Do parents get logins?
No. A family receives a PIN for one pupil and sees exactly what you allow: marks, progress and the teacher's note. You can revoke a PIN in one tap, and it is logged.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Marks and notes are kept on the device and sync when the signal returns, with the log intact. Reports and prints need a connection.
Can we import from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Upload a class list or a whole grade from Excel or Google Sheets. Bhala flags duplicates and asks before it changes anything.
